Laid-off Google employees may not receive payment for approved medical or maternity leave

<p>Laid-off Google employees who had been approved for medical or maternity leave may not receive payment for that time, according to a recent article in LiveMint. Google has reportedly told employees that it is not obligated to pay for leave taken after an employee has been laid off, even if the leave was approved prior to the layoff. This news has come as a blow to former Google employees who had been counting on the payment to help them through a difficult time.</p>
