Meta Freezes AI Hiring Amid Cost Pushback and Internal Restructuring
Meta Platforms has imposed a freeze on hiring and internal transfers within its AI division following an aggressive recruitment campaign that added more than 50 researchers and engineers, according to The Wall Street Journal. The move aligns with an internal restructuring of Meta’s "Superintelligence Lab" into four specialized teams and is aimed at organizing staffing and budgeting for its next phase of AI development.
