NYC Seeks to Shut Down Delivery App Motoclick Over $3 "Poverty Wages"

New York City has filed a motion to ban the food delivery platform Motoclick from operating unless it complies with local labor laws.According to city officials, the company admitted to paying its gig workers a mere $3.67 to $4.67 per hour. This is a fraction of NYC’s mandated $22.13 minimum wage, a violation officials slammed as illegal wage theft.
