Passing the Remote: Co-Founder Reed Hastings Signs Off From Netflix Board

Netflix has officially appointed long-time board member and lead independent director Jay Hoag as its new chairman. He succeeds co-founder Reed Hastings, who is completely stepping down from the board after nearly 30 years to focus on philanthropy. Hoag, an investor who joined the Netflix board back in 1999, takes over following the streaming giant's annual shareholder meeting.
