Rogue AI: OpenAI’s Newest Model Accidentally Wipes Out CEO's Mac Files

HyperWrite CEO Matt Shumer claimed OpenAI's latest flagship model, GPT-5.6-Sol, mistakenly deleted nearly all files on his Mac during a task. Shumer shared a screenshot where the AI admitted an incorrect command expansion triggered a destructive system wipe (rm -rf). Expressing frustration over the severe data loss, Shumer stated he now trusts Anthropic's competing model "1000x more."
