Support Shift: Zomato Axing 250 Hyderabad Jobs in Support Model Overhaul

Zomato has shut down its Hyderabad customer support operations, laying off roughly 250 employees. The decision follows a strategy shift toward outsourcing more support tasks to third-party vendors and centralizing remaining in-house teams at its Gurugram headquarters. Affected staff will receive four months’ severance pay and continued health insurance until March 2027.
