Zoho co-founder Sridhar Vembu warned that skyrocketing memory prices and rising AI token costs are severely straining tech businesses. With DDR5 RAM prices jumping up to 500%, Vembu noted that holding product prices steady is becoming increasingly difficult. He called for a shift toward memory-efficient programming languages, arguing that software design can no longer rely on the assumption that memory is free.
