Zomato Clarifies Users Can Revoke Phone Number Sharing with Restaurants
Zomato's food delivery CEO, Aditya Mangla, clarified that customers can withdraw consent at any time to prevent sharing their phone numbers with restaurants for promotions. The new opt-in feature, introduced to create a direct link with partners, comes with a privacy caveat: contact details already shared before withdrawal cannot be retrieved due to technical limitations.
