AI Lifeline: Meta AI to Alert Parents If Teens Talk Self-Harm

Meta has launched a new tool that scans chat logs and alerts parents if a teenager discusses suicide or self-harm with Meta AI.Currently live on Instagram for supervised accounts in the US, UK, Australia, and Canada, the feature acts as an early intervention system. Meta is also working on a feature to directly contact emergency services for users at imminent risk.
