Cybersecurity Ranks Third-Biggest Risk for Manufacturers, AI Investments Surge
A new report by Rockwell Automation reveals that cybersecurity is the third-largest threat facing manufacturers, trailing only inflation and economic growth. Over 50% of firms now prioritize protecting operational technology (OT), with nearly two-thirds already implementing OT security platforms—and another one-third planning to do so within five years. Notably, over 60% of cybersecurity and IT professionals plan to adopt AI or machine learning for enhanced security within the next year.
