Data privacy regulator in Ireland will be reconstituted with new commissioners
<p>The Irish government said that it will add two more commissioners to Ireland&#39;s Data Protection Commission, which serves as the principal European regulator for digital giants Apple Inc., Google Inc., Microsoft Corp., and Twitter Inc. The additions, according to Justice Minister Helen McEntee, would strengthen the commission&#39;s capacity to manage a growing workload and more intricate investigative tasks while also supporting current Commissioner Helen Dixon.</p>
