EU states now under investigation over misuse of Pegasus spyware

<p>The European Parliament has launched a new committee to investigate the use of Pegasus spyware by European member states. A statement released by the Parliament said that they will look into national laws and investigate whether Pegasus spyware was used for political purposes, mainly to target journalists, rival politicians and lawyers. Pegasus is a spyware which allows the attacker to gain near complete access to the target device. </p>
