GenAI Boosts Credibility of Cyber Frauds
Generative AI is enabling cybercriminals to conduct more convincing scams—deepfake celebrity endorsements, personalised messaging, QR-code diversions, and fake gift-card wins are now widespread. McAfee found that 72 % of Indians worry about AI-led fraud, and 91 % have received suspicious shopping messages. Experts say regulation is lagging behind the evolving threat.
