Hackers use Fake telegram apps to distribute 'Purple Fox' malware

<p>Fake Telegram Messenger apps are hacking devices, including PCs, with Windows-based malware. Fake installers of the Telegram messaging app are being used to distribute the Windows-based 'Purple Fox' backdoor on compromised systems, according to Minerva Labs. A researcher has detected a large number of malicious installers delivering the 'purple fox' rootkit version, which were delivered via email and were downloaded from phishing websites.<br /> </p>
