Here is why Truecaller knows when your salary is credited

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Recently, some Truecaller users reported that the app was creating UPI accounts without their consent. This incident of breach happened due to a bug in the latest update of Truecaller that automatically triggered UPI registration. In discussion with ETCIO, Jaspreet Singh, Partner- Cyber Security, EY said, it cannot be termed as financial fraud, but it is a case of user's privacy breach.</span></span></span></p>
