Meta abandons its plans in response to new privacy update

<p>A disputed plan by Meta to bar users from its platform if they do not agree to the conditions of its privacy policy amendment has been dropped. The Personal Information Protection Commission was investigating whether Meta's impending privacy policy modification violates domestic law when the decision was made. Users of Facebook and Instagram in South Korea have received alerts from the corporation requesting their acceptance to new privacy terms and conditions.</p>
