Microsoft Reaches Settlement with FTC Over Xbox Account Data Handling for Kids

Microsoft has reached a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regarding the handling of account data for children on Xbox. The settlement stems from alleged violations of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which safeguards the privacy of children online. As part of the settlement, Microsoft will implement changes to improve compliance with COPPA requirements, ensuring better protection of children's data on the Xbox platform.
