New govt guidelines to shield power sector from cyberattacks

<p>The Indian government has, for the first time, released new Cybersecurity guidelines for the power sector to create secure cyberspace. Directed by R K Singh, the Minister for Power and New and Renewable Energy, the guidelines were formulated by Central Electricity Authority. The new guidelines make product procurement from "trusted sources" mandatory, while untrusted products will be tested for Trojans and Malware before deployment.</p>
