Paytm Mall, Snapdeal slapped with Rs 1L fine each

<p>Central Consumer Protection Authority(CCPA) has fined Paytm Mall, Snapdeal Rs 1L for the sale of unreliable and unsafe pressure cookers on their platforms. The officials noted that both companies were selling pressure cookers which didn't match the quality norms set by BIS. Snapdeal has since taken down the listings and blocked the associated sellers. The e-commerce platform also argued that it is a technology platform and it is not responsible for any data hosted on it.</p>
