Staging fake iPhone 13 event, scammers steal $69k

<p>AppleInsider reported that scammers utilised a fake event stream, a fake Apple website, and the promise of free Bitcoin to scam unsuspecting people looking for Apple's 14th Sept launch event. The fake stream had messages directing users to a fake website, which advertised a Bitcoin giveaway. All a user had to do was send 0.1 to 20 Bitcoin to a wallet, to get the double amount back. Up to $69k was sent to the wallet, making the scam a success.</p>
