Uber has responded to 'cybersecurity incident' following report of network breach

<p>Ride-hailing operator Uber said it was reacting to a cybersecurity incident and had taken numerous internal communications and engineering systems offline following media reports that its network had been compromised. Uber staff members received a message informing them of a data breach after a hacker gained access to an employee's work Slack account. It appears that the hacker eventually succeeded in getting entry to further internal systems.</p>
