A23 Parent Head Digital Works Mounts First Legal Challenge
Head Digital Works, the parent company of the popular real-money gaming platform A23, has become the first firm to formally contest India’s Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025. The petition, filed in the Karnataka High Court, claims the law unconstitutionally criminalizes legitimate skill-based games like rummy and poker and could collapse an industry valued at billions.
