AI Skills Surge in India: 11.7% of Job Listings Require AI Expertise

A new report highlights that 11.7% of Indian job postings in September mention artificial intelligence (AI), up from 10.6% three months earlier and 8.2% a year ago. Demand is highest in data & analytics roles (39%), followed by software development (23%), insurance (18%) and scientific research (17%). Even disciplines like industrial (17%) and mechanical engineering (11%) are seeing elevated AI skill requirements.
