Airtel and Google Partner to Bring RCS Messaging to India

Bharti Airtel has reversed its previous stance and partnered with Google to roll out Rich Communication Services (RCS) messaging across its network in India. The deal follows Google's agreement to integrate RCS with Airtel's intelligent spam filter to address the telecom operator's concerns. With all three major Indian telcos now embracing RCS, the platform is set to challenge WhatsApp's dominance in business messaging.
