Amazon Attributes December 2025 AWS Outage to Human Error Rather Than AI Failure
Amazon has clarified that the major AWS service disruption in December 2025 was caused by a manual configuration mistake, not a failure in its artificial intelligence systems. Despite increasing reliance on AI for cloud management, internal investigations revealed that "user error" during a routine update triggered the widespread connectivity issues.
