Amazon Axes Up To 30,000 Corporate Jobs in Historic Cost-Cutting Move

Amazon is beginning its largest corporate layoff round, cutting up to 30,000 staff, or nearly 10% of its white-collar workforce. The massive cuts across divisions like AWS, HR, and Operations are part of CEO Andy Jassy’s efficiency drive, reducing bureaucracy and aligning the company for increased use of AI and automation following pandemic overhiring.
