Amazon Plans to Cut Up to 15% of HR Jobs Amid Ongoing Restructuring

Amazon is set to reduce its human resources workforce by up to 15%, impacting the People eXperience and Technology (PXT) division, which employs over 10,000 globally. This move follows previous layoffs across various departments, including AWS and podcast unit Wondery. CEO Andy Jassy has indicated that AI advancements are reshaping corporate roles, leading to these strategic workforce adjustments. Despite cuts, Amazon plans to hire 250,000 seasonal workers for the upcoming holiday season.
