AMD's Strategic Deal with OpenAI
AMD has entered a groundbreaking agreement with OpenAI, supplying 6 gigawatts of compute capacity and offering up to 160 million stock warrants. These warrants vest upon achieving specific milestones, including AMD's stock price reaching $600 per share. Analysts suggest that if OpenAI holds onto these shares, their value could approach $100 billion. UBS analyst Timothy Arcuri notes that this arrangement effectively allows AMD to finance OpenAI's chip purchases through its own equity.
