Anthropic Introduces ‘Claude for Chrome’ — AI Agent Inside Your Browser
Anthropic has launched Claude for Chrome, a research-preview Chrome extension available to 1,000 Max plan subscribers, with a waitlist open for others. Operating via a sidebar, the AI agent can maintain context, chat, and perform browser tasks like clicking and form-filling on users’ behalf. To address security concerns—especially prompt-injection risks—Anthropic has implemented safeguards such as permission controls, site blocklists, and confirmation prompts before high-risk actions.
