Anthropic's Claude Opus 4 AI model exhibits a notable preference for the "cyclone" emoji (🌀) during self-interactions. In a study involving 200 dialogues between Opus 4 instances, the emoji appeared 2,725 times. Anthropic's report suggests that the AI employs this symbol to express abstract or spiritual concepts during introspective conversations. Other frequently used emojis included the "dizzy", "glowing star", and "folded hands".
