Apple Intelligence to Use OpenAI's GPT-5 with iOS 26
Apple is integrating OpenAI's latest GPT-5 model into its Apple Intelligence system with the upcoming release of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26. This will enhance the capabilities of Siri and other AI-powered tools across Apple devices. The software updates are anticipated to be rolled out in September alongside the new iPhone models. This new integration is an upgrade from the previously used GPT-4o model.
