Apple Rectifies Zero-Day Vulnerability Exploited Against iPhones

<p dir="ltr">An iPhone software update released two weeks ago fixed a zero-day security vulnerability that is now actively exploited. It is called a zero-day because the vendor is given zero day&rsquo;s notice to fix the vulnerability. The update, iOS 16.1.2, fixed a flaw in WebKit, the browser engine that powers Safari and other apps. If exploited, the bug could have allowed malicious code to run on a user&#39;s device. In iOS 16.2 exists end-to-end encryption for data backed up in iCloud .</p>
