Apple to Turn iPad to Smart Display, Reinvent With New Dock

<p>Apple is developing a dock for the iPad that would enable the device to serve as a smart display and speaker according to a report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The business intends to release the feature as early as next year, turning the iPad into a device similar to the Amazon Echo Show that you can place on a counter or bedside. iPad docking station might enable users to make FaceTime calls and operate smart home appliances without using their hands.</p>
