Apple Under Pressure: EU Rules Force Apple Pencil Battery Redesign

Apple is reportedly developing two new Apple Pencils, expected to launch in early 2027 alongside new iPad Pros. Driven by European Union regulations requiring more easily replaceable batteries in consumer electronics, the tech giant is overhauling its notoriously difficult-to-repair styluses. The upcoming lineup includes a USB-C charging base model and a refreshed Apple Pencil Pro.
