Ather CEO Urges Auto-PLI Scheme Overhaul, Says It Ignores Key EV Makers
Ather Energy co-founder and CEO Tarun Mehta has called on the Indian government to revisit the auto Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, arguing that it fails to bolster domestic EV manufacturing and excludes major industry players, including Ather itself—India’s second-largest electric two-wheeler maker with a leading charging network and R&D setup.
