Broadcom Unveils Jericho 4 Router Chip to Power Distributed AI Networks

Broadcom’s new Jericho 4 Ethernet fabric router, built on TSMC’s 3 nm process, is designed to interconnect over one million processors across data centers up to 60 miles apart, enabling scalable AI workloads. Featuring high-bandwidth memory (HBM) for buffering and line-rate MACsec encryption, it ensures congestion-free, secure traffic—especially for cloud giants like Microsoft and Amazon. The Jericho 4 joins Broadcom’s Tomahawk 6 and Ultra chips for hyperscale AI infrastructure deployments.
