CCPA Fines Meta, Amazon, and Flipkart Over Illegal Walkie-Talkie Sales
The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has imposed a ₹10 lakh fine each on Meta, Amazon, Flipkart, and Meesho for permitting the sale of illegal walkie-talkies. These devices were sold without the mandatory operating licenses and technical clearances required by the Department of Telecommunications.
