ChatGPT's mobile app is experiencing a slowdown in user engagement and downloads, according to Apptopia. Since July, average daily usage per U.S. user has dropped by 22.5%, with session frequency decreasing by 20.7%. October 2025 is projected to witness an 8.1% month-over-month decline in new installations. This shift indicates a move from casual exploration to more task-specific usage.
