China Blocks ByteDance Use of Nvidia Chips in Data Centers
Chinese regulators have reportedly barred TikTok-owner ByteDance from deploying Nvidia chips in new data centers, according to two company employees. This move underscores Beijing's push to lessen its reliance on US technology and accelerate the adoption of domestic AI processors, amid tightening US export curbs on advanced semiconductors to China.
