China's 2D Material Chip Breakthrough Highlights Need for India's Research Focus
Chinese researchers have developed 'Wuji,' a one-nanometer RISC-V chip utilizing two-dimensional (2D) materials, marking a significant advancement in semiconductor technology. Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan emphasized the importance of India accelerating research in 2D materials, particularly for analog computing. He noted that such research could enable India to develop new base materials for integrated circuits, displays, and other electronic applications.
