Chinese Consumers File Antitrust Complaint Against Apple Over App Store Practices

A group of 55 Chinese iPhone and iPad users has filed a formal antitrust complaint with China’s State Administration for Market Regulation, accusing Apple of abusing its market dominance in China. They allege that Apple restricts app downloads to its App Store, forces digital purchases through its system, and charges commissions of up to 30% on in-app purchases. The complaint highlights Apple’s contrasting policies between China and other markets.
