Congo Reverses Ban, Grants Starlink License to Expand Internet Access

The Democratic Republic of Congo has granted Elon Musk’s Starlink a license to operate, overturning a previous ban imposed in March 2024 due to security concerns. With only about 30% of the population having internet access, this move aims to enhance connectivity in the conflict-affected nation. Starlink plans to commence services in the coming days, following similar approvals in Somalia and Lesotho.
