Decision on semiconductor sops should be made by October, says IGSS Ventures

<p>India must make a decision by October on proposals submitted by various investor-tech consortiums to manufacture semiconductors there, said Raj Kumar, CEO of IGSS Ventures. A 26,000 Cr fabrication unit has been proposed by IGSS, who is awaiting Center approval for incentives. The alliance competes with Tower-backed ISMC Analog and the Vedanta-Foxconn joint venture for incentives from the government to build semiconductor factories worth billions of dollars.</p>
