E-commerce Giants Adapt Listings for AI Chatbot Visibility

Amazon India and Flipkart are optimizing product listings for better visibility on Large Language Model (LLM) chatbots like ChatGPT and Google Gemini. This shift, known as Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), moves away from traditional keyword reliance. As users increasingly turn to AI for shopping searches, platforms are taking this first step towards "agentic commerce," where AI agents will eventually handle shopping and payment on behalf of the customer.
