EEA users can now buy in-app purchases on Google

<p>Google announced that it would permit creators of non-gaming apps on the Play Store to offer different payment options for in-app purchases and transactions for customers residing in the European Economic Area. The company's action follows this month's passage of the Digital Markets Act (DMA) by the European Parliament. The action was taken to compel tech behemoths like Google, Apple, Meta, and Amazon to adhere to open and fair trade practices.</p>
