Epic Games and Google have reached a proposed settlement in their antitrust lawsuit, with global changes set to reshape the Android app ecosystem. The agreement mandates that Google allow the easier installation of third-party app stores and permit developers to use alternative payment methods. Google will also implement capped service fees of 9% or 20% on transactions using these alternative billing options, a significant win for developer flexibility.
