Ericsson says 5G subscriptions to hit 500 million in India by 2027

<p>Ericsson, by the end of 2027, Ericsson estimated that 5G subscribers in India to account for 40% of all mobile subscriptions (500 M ). 4G, which today drives 68 % of India's connectivity, will contribute only 55 % in 2027, down from 68 % now. Annual 4G subscriptions are expected to fall to 700 M million in 2027, according to forecasts. The report said that 56% of all data traffic is likely to be carried by 5G networks in the country by the year 2027.<br />
