EV Glitch Patch: Toyota Recalls 39,000 China-Built Sedans

Toyota's joint venture with GAC is issuing a product recall in China for 39,552 bZ7 electric sedans starting August 1. Classified by Chinese market regulators as a safety hazard, the issue involves faulty software—including a defective Bluetooth module in over 15,000 units—that can trigger system malfunctions. Toyota will fix the software across affected vehicles free of charge.
