FAA Clears SpaceX to More Than Double Falcon 9 Launches from Florida
The FAA has issued a Mitigated Finding of No Significant Impact, clearing the way for SpaceX to boost its annual Falcon 9 launches from Cape Canaveral—from 50 to up to 120. The approval also includes a new on-site landing zone to accommodate up to 34 booster landings per year. While environmental concerns have been addressed, SpaceX still needs final license modifications from the FAA and approval from the U.S. Department of the Air Force.
