Google, Amazon, Microsoft Urge U.S. Treasury to Preserve Clean Energy Subsidies
The Data Center Coalition—including Google, Amazon, and Microsoft—has urged Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to uphold current federal subsidies for solar and wind under the Inflation Reduction Act. They warn that stricter “beginning of construction” interpretation could stall clean energy deployment, jeopardizing the electricity required for AI infrastructure and broader digital services.
